DEBATE REPORT by Isabella Ferguson
Last Tuesday the Chapel Hill Debating Team went to Indooroopilly State School for a practice debate before the QDU Competition. The topic of the debate was That Video Games are a bad influence on Children. We were the negative which means we were saying that video games are a good influence on children. It was a great debate and I would like to thank Mrs Carter for coaching us, the rest of the team for putting in a great effort and everyone who came and supported us.
Congratulations to Matt McGrath – first speaker, Alex Thorn – second speaker, Jessica Blinks – third speaker and Taylor Johnston – Chairperson, for great teamwork. Thankyou to Mrs Carter for helping us to prepare for the debate and to everyone who came on the night to support us. (Isabella Ferguson)
