POETRY ON THE MOVE

 

 

Congratulations!

Winning student poetry from the 2005 Poetry on the Move competition will delight commuters as it adorns buses across the state.

Minister for Education and Minister for the Arts, Anna Bligh announced the competition winners:

Sluggishly snails sneaking under moist plants

Nibbling cabbages every minute

Afraid, hiding, scared

Incredible snails shrinking into their shells

Little eyes looking for food

Swirling shells make good houses

The Prize

The winning students will be invited to Brisbane to attend the unveiling of the poetry bus featuring all the winning student poetry.

The students will also be presented with a certificate at a presentation ceremony while in Brisbane.
