School Programs

The library of Chapel Hill State School is growing by the day. The Library has a wide selection of resources to assist students enjoy reading, research topics, and play games.

A Teacher/Librarian, Library Aide and a Trainee Library Assistant staff the library.

Students' work is often displayed in the Library. Come along to see some of the great work being done by the students of Chapel Hill School. 

Groups of students constantly use the Library to research and find out information before returning to their classroom.

Library Research Centre.

Our friendly library staff, Mrs Massey and teacher aide, Mrs Peters are ready and willing to assist all students in their research using either print based material or internet resource sites.

We have a bright open-plan library providing a large range of books for all interests and learning areas. The library has a large range of fiction books, including novels from well known Australian authors. This includes a range of fiction books at different reading levels and interest areas for the beginning to the avid reader. Up-to-date non-fiction books support learning activities in classrooms. They cater for a wide range of student interest.

The Teacher Resource Centre has various resources to aid the development of lessons.

 We have a work station consisting of computers used for the location of resources and access to the internet for research with further computers available for internet research.

All children visit the library for weekly borrowing. The exciting displays from classrooms brighten our library. Games are available during playtime and library monitors are friendly and helpful students who assist in shelving books.
